If skirting, windsailing and deadwood removal still don't meet your needs the last resort is doing removing the
whole tree.

The next question most people ask is
"are my trees worth any money". We have an entire page full of very useful
information on that topic and you can open that page by clicking
here.

If your removal is not a cost-effective candidate for logging or crane logging, then a conventional removal is called
for. When considering a removal there are ways to save a good deal of money. Before we come and provide you
with a free estimate and consultation ask yourself a these questions:

Do you want to just get the tree on the ground and deal with limbs and firewood yourself?
By far the cheapest route to go when removing the tree is to have us "just get it on the ground" which means we
will climb and de-limb the tree and take the trunk down in 2-6 foot chunks that you can buck up for firewood. Make
no mistake, removing all the limbs and bucking up the firewood is HARD work. But if you want to save some
money and want to feel the old pioneering spirit, going this route can save you as much as 50%-70%.

Chipping the limbs creates an excellent mulch. Do you want keep the mulch?
If we are removing the limbs we run them through our chipper. This produces a mulch a little less than the
consistency of beauty bark and it's full of nutrients. Despite this we often have to pay to dump them at a recycling
center because when our truck is full it is too large a quantity to dump to one of the many homeowners that want
them. Because of this we can offer a discount for what we call "chip on site" which means you use the chips to
mulch your garden areas or use them for any other projects you may have.

Do you want to keep the firewood?
If your trees are not suitable for lumber or are not accessible with the equipment necessary for recovery as logs,
then the tree is cut into firewood length. We encourage our customers to keep the wood, give to friends or charities
or neighbors since it has no value to us and we actually have to charge to remove it. A third option is we have a
number of individuals and charities who can take the wood after the job is done.

Do you want to keep the plants that are under the tree you are considering removing?
In many yards we see landscaping around trees, these may include, flowers, rhododendrons, or other plants that
while you were not planning to remove them, they weren't special to you either. In order to make sure the plants
are not damaged we have to lower each branch by rope. This easily
doubles  the amount of time it takes to
remove the tree and therefore can double the cost. So when considering your tree work, ask yourself if replacing
$100 worth of plants is better than paying an extra several hundred dollars to keep them.

Regardless of what you decide, we can do the job quickly, safely and at a cost that meets or beats our competitors.
Just the Certified Arborist consultation is worth $100 and we provide it FREE. Just give us a call today and we can
answer all your questions and concerns.
